Considering the PR Program at QU?

Studying Public Relations at Quinnipiac has been a truly rewarding experience for me. This semester had its ups and downs, but I can't believe how far I have come! Finals are just around the corner and I have one more paper to write. I have been constantly challenged by my professors and the coursework. I never thought I would say this, but I survived my first semester in grad school.

My undergraduate degree is in Marketing, and I chose to take the public relations path because it fits me better. Choosing Quinnipiac was the best decision I made when furthering my education. I have learned new theories and concepts, but I have also learned practical ways to apply them in my future career.

A fellow PR student pointed out a really great article to me, which you can read here. Having a job as a public relations specialist is one of the 50 best careers of 2011! Employment of public-relations specialists is expected to increase by more than 66,000 jobs, or 24 percent, between 2008 and 2018, according to the Labor Department. This entire article reassures me of the time and energy I have invested in a master's degree in public relations!

I can't think of a better time to have gone for my Master's degree. It looks like jobs in the public relations sector are growing! I am happy I came to Quinnipiac to learn everything I need to have a great career in public relations!
