Hello everyone! It's been a hectic semester and I am happy to say that it is officially Thanksgiving break! Anyways, the past 13 weeks have been a whirlwind. It took me some time to adjust to a demanding schedule, but definitely has been well worth it!
For those of you who are considering graduate school, I believe it is important to think about what you will be doing AFTER you are an admitted student. When I started the Public Relations program in August, I wasn't sure what to expect. I went to orientation and I ate up as much information as I could, but I knew I had to experience the coursework and actually be in the classroom to really know what grad school was going to be like.
After I got over the shock of the coursework, I realized I had a strong support system here at Quinnipiac. I made some great relationships with the other students in my program. We help each other out and study together. Plus, my professors really do listen to the students. They understand that most of us are full-time graduate students taking 5 classes this semester. My professors have really helped to lighten our load at some points and have really guided us through some difficult times.
I am so lucky to have such a strong support system. I really don't think you can get this anywhere else. This semester was intense, but I am so glad I picked Quinnipiac. I knew graduate coursework would be difficult, but I have some amazing professors and great friends to help me through. Now I am looking for a week off to rest and get caught up on work. One more semester left until I graduate!
